R&D Software & Hardware Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve methods for adjustment, diagnostics, functional testing and performance verification – bringing your own ideas to make our hardware perform at its best.
• Design and implement robust diagnostics and adjustment solutions in a modern C++ environment, tightly integrated with advanced hardware.
• Bring up and stabilise new hardware generations using prototypes, R&D tools and state‑of‑the‑art lab equipment at the forefront of current technology.
• Connect development, production and customers as a technical bridge: roll out solutions, support manufacturing sites and customer systems worldwide.
• Analyse production and field data to detect issues early, improve manufacturability and continuously push performance to technical limits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong C++ skills and a good grasp of object‑oriented design principles.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and measurement techniques.
• Analytical, data‑driven mindset – you enjoy finding root causes and turning insights into improvements.
• Enjoy working across disciplines, collaborating closely with hardware, software and manufacturing colleagues at eye level.
• Team‑oriented mindset: grow continuously by sharing and learning together with your team members.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• German language skills.
