Responsibilities

Advantest is a global leader in semiconductor test solutions. We help our customers solve challenges in cutting‑edge semiconductor development, quietly underpinning the technology that shapes everyday life.

• Develop and continuously improve methods for adjustment, diagnostics, functional testing, and performance verification, bringing your own ideas to make our hardware perform at its best
• Design and implement robust diagnostics and adjustment solutions in a modern C++ environment, tightly integrated with advanced hardware
• Bring up and stabilize new hardware generations using prototypes, R&D tools, and state‑of‑the‑art lab equipment at the forefront of current technology
• Connect development, production, and customers as a technical bridge: roll out solutions, support manufacturing sites and customer systems worldwide
• Analyze production and field data to detect issues early, improve manufacturability, and continuously push performance to technical limits

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong C++ skills and a good grasp of object‑oriented design principles
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and measurement techniques
• Analytical, data‑driven mindset: you enjoy finding root causes and turning insights into improvements
• Enjoy working across disciplines, collaborating closely with hardware, software, and manufacturing colleagues at eye level
• Team‑oriented mindset: grow continuously by sharing and learning together with your team members
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
• German language skills
