Overview

In this role you lead the regional strategy for underwriting, claims, medical and biometric risk across EMEA, shaping how we deliver risk solutions at scale. You will drive transformation, build talent and governance, and advance analytics-driven practices that improve profitability and client outcomes. You’ll partner with technology, data and external partners to pioneer innovative reinsurance solutions and biometric capabilities. Your leadership will foster collaboration and accountability across markets and functions.

Develop and implement a unified regional strategy for underwriting, claims, medical and biometric risk aligned with enterprise objectives
Drive transformation across people, processes and systems, leveraging AI and data to improve productivity
Establish ownership, governance, and operating models to ensure coordinated execution
Identify and mobilise senior leaders and subject matter experts to support regional delivery
Lead as the senior functional owner for underwriting, claims, medical and biometric risk across EMEA
Embed biometric insights into pricing, selection and risk management to enable profitable growth
Utilize advanced analytics, predictive modelling and partnerships to identify opportunities and innovate
Influence research and innovation agendas to anticipate biometric trends and regulatory changes
Strengthen market position through thought leadership, technical expertise and client engagement
Forge strategic partnerships with technology firms, data providers and academic institutions

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields (BA/BS)
10+ Years senior experience in life and health insurance or reinsurance with exposure to underwriting, claims, medical and biometric risk
Proven senior leadership experience with strategic, operational and transformation initiatives across markets or functions
Experience leading complex operating models, governance, and technology-enabled change
Strong track record using analytics, predictive modelling and emerging data to improve risk assessment and outcomes
Experience working with executive teams, strategic clients and external stakeholders to drive growth
Preferred: SVP/executive-level leadership in related functions; deep biometric risk knowledge and regulatory awareness
Strong commercial judgment and ability to influence and communicate complex concepts
Talent development and team-building capabilities
