Role Overview

As a Remote Quality Assurance Tester, you will uncover and diagnose bugs through both automation and manual testing. You’ll collaborate with development and design teams to ensure seamless integration of new features, create detailed test plans, and generate actionable bug reports. The role supports product excellence through structured chaos, exploratory testing, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Detect and diagnose bugs using automation and manual testing.
• Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure seamless integration of new features.
• Develop detailed, data-backed test plans and cases covering expected and unexpected use cases.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, integration, usability, and exploratory testing on mobile, web, and desktop platforms.
• Generate clear, actionable bug reports that convey technical findings concisely.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve user experience.
• Participate in Agile sprints, retrospectives, and stand‑ups.
• Utilize tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Postman, and TestRail.
• Execute end‑to‑end testing of new and existing features across platforms.
• Prioritize test cases and manage task flow via collaborative platforms.
• Dive into logs, APIs, and databases to uncover inconsistencies or security gaps.
• Maintain testing documentation for consistency and transparency.
• Engage in creative brainstorming to enhance features and usability.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in manual and automated software testing.
• Familiarity with core QA tools: Selenium WebDriver, Postman, TestRail, browser developer tools.
• Understanding of testing mobile and web applications for reliability and UX.
• Highly analytical thinker with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills to convey findings in a friendly tone.
• Ability to work independently and manage schedule in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

• ISTQB certification or similar QA credentials.
• Experience working with remote, multicultural teams across time zones.
