Position
Division Audio and Media Technologies seeks a software engineer to design, implement, and optimize AI-based speech and audio algorithms in C/C++ and Python.
Responsibilities
- Build the foundation for intelligent systems by designing efficient and scalable software architectures for deploying AI-based speech and audio algorithms.
- Unlock efficiency at scale by implementing and optimizing deep‑learning based signal processing methods in C/C++ for various hardware platforms.
- Turn ideas into real‑world impact by transforming research prototypes in MATLAB or Python into high‑performance production‑ready libraries.
- Set the standard for reliability by ensuring software quality through clean implementation, testing, and validation of algorithmic behavior.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Media Technologies, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and good knowledge of Python and MATLAB.
- Experience in efficient algorithm implementation, modular software development, and automated testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured, root‑cause oriented approach to debugging.
- Solid understanding of signal‑processing fundamentals, ideally with a background in speech and audio processing.
- Experience in modular software development and working with complex software frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of DNN runtimes such as ONNX or TensorFlow Lite, model compression and quantization techniques, deep‑learning frameworks and generative AI.
- Fluency in English and ability to work effectively in an international, multidisciplinary team.

Employment Details
The position is initially limited to two years with the aim to extend it subsequently. The weekly working time is 39 hours. A part‑time basis is possible, but a full‑time position is preferred.
