Research associate computational metabolomics (m/f/d)

Contract Details

Salary group E13 TVL, full-time 100 % (part‑time possible), contract until ; to be filled immediately.

Research Topic

As a (bio) informatician, join our Computational Plant Biochemistry group focusing on Computational Metabolomics, developing methods for processing and interpreting mass‑spectrometry data in plant biochemistry and biodiversity research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methods for the characterization and identification of metabolites.
  • Adapt and use statistical methods to detect patterns and relevant connections in metabolomics data.
  • Participate in activities and training within de.NBI and ELIXIR.

Qualifications

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computer science or related discipline.
  • Experience in algorithms, software engineering, and statistics.
  • Programming skills in R, Python, and Java.
  • Knowledge of metabolomics or chemistry is an advantage.
