The Institute for Algorithms and Complexity focuses on efficient methods for solving computational problems in economics, engineering, and social sciences. It is an interdisciplinary team involved in national and international collaborations.

YOUR TASKS

• Research on algorithms for combinatorial optimization problems
• Publication of research results in high impact conference proceedings and journals of mathematics, computer science, and operations research
• Assistance with teaching and supervision tasks
• Commitment to learning and knowledge sharing tasks at the Institute for Algorithms and Complexity

YOUR PROFILE

Requirements:

• Completed scientific university studies (master's degree or equivalent), in particular in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Operations Research

Desired knowledge and personal skills

• Proficiency in English communication skills (both oral and written) for publications and project meetings (level B2)
• Educational background in algorithm design techniques, e.g., quantum, distributed, parallel, parameterized, approximation, online algorithms
• Interest in combinatorial optimization, mathematical programming, complexity theory, and/or discrete mathematics
