Retail Media Campaign Analyst

About the role:

As a Retail Media Campaign Analyst, you form the analytical and operational backbone of our local Retail Media team in Germany. Working closely with our Retail Media Managers, you own the data-driven planning, tracking, optimization, and evaluation of advertising campaigns for FMCG brands, restaurant partners, and advertisers. Operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment, you translate complex performance datasets into actionable insights, maximize campaign revenue, and prove the ROI of our partners with hard facts. Through high-quality performance reporting, you proactively surface upselling opportunities and support the team with compelling insights for both internal reviews and external client meetings. To excel in this role, you bring deep ad-tech understanding, outstanding analytical skills, and a strong collaborative mindset.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Analytical support, performance monitoring, and continuous data-led optimization of Retail Media and digital advertising campaigns to consistently hit client KPIs
• Serving as the primary analytical partner for our Retail Media Managers regarding campaign performance, custom reporting requests, and ad-tech topics
• Generating actionable insights from campaign performance and market data to drive long-term partner success
• Systematically evaluating performance data to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities that support Commercial Managers in their business reviews
• Building, automating, and maintaining performance dashboards, while preparing and occasionally co-delivering performance presentations for key accounts
• Conducting closed-loop and attribution analyses
• Collaborating closely with central Ad Operations, Data, and Product teams to continuously improve local campaign reporting standards and analytics infrastructure

What you bring to the team:

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field
• Proven expertise in campaign analytics, reporting, and optimization across Retail Media, Search (SEA), Display Advertising, or related digital channels
• Deep understanding of ad serving, DSP, SSP, and analytics platforms, as well as Programmatic Advertising and data-driven advertising solutions
• Strong analytical mindset and hands-on experience querying and visualizing complex datasets (e.g., using SQL, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI)
• Excellent organizational skills to efficiently prioritize and manage requests across multiple stakeholders (Retail Media Managers) and active campaigns
• Operational agility, quick comprehension, and adaptability within a fast-paced, high-growth business environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, commercial stories for internal teams and clients
• Native/fluent German skills and professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
