At a Glance:

The Rig Manager (RM) is responsible for the safe, effective and smooth operation of the assigned drilling and workover rigs, hereinafter referred to as the Rig Manager.

This role supports our localisation objectives and is therefore open to European nationals only.

Location: Germany

What you will do:

The RM is responsible for the operational processes of the European drilling operations assigned to him in order to achieve the operational, financial and HSE requirements.

Ensure the correct implementation and fulfillment of drilling contracts with customers.

Implementation of customer requirements, in compliance with the legal and tariff provisions as well as the KCA Deutag guiding principles, strategies, and procedures

• Application, implementation and monitoring of the requirements of the KCA Deutag Guidelines, WW Standards for HSE and Business. Excellence. Ensure the correct implementation of KCA Deutag HSE tools on the systems, e.g. "Five to Keep Alive", SET, PTW, etc.
• Implementation of the annual KCA Deutag Group HSSE Planes and the Group Sustainability Plan as well as the implementation or participation in all required QHSE projects.
• Regular review and evaluation of the targets achieved from the annual KCA Deutag plans.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual QHSE plan (if necessary).
• Introduction; Participation and monitoring of campaigns and new systems.
• Carrying out inspections of the facilities and their documentation in accordance with the specifications.
• Creation of reports in CATS for HSE and GC cases. Carrying out accident investigations according to TopSet.

What you need:

• Completed drilling training or studies
• Professional experience in the oil and gas industry, e.g. on drilling rigs.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Good knowledge of the required SAP modules, the ERDS and CATS reporting platform
• To fulfil the tasks, you must be willing to travel and be mobile at home and abroad, as well as a valid driver's license
