Risk, Credit Risk, Workout & Restructuring, Vice President, Frankfurt

In this role you support the Workout & Restructuring team to maximize recoveries from distressed credit positions while evaluating new transactions with distressed counterparties. You work across geographies (EMEA/APAC) and multiple industries, collaborating with Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Operations, and other control functions. You will lead complex restructurings, monitor watchlist exposures, and mentor junior teammates, helping the firm proactively manage downside risk. This position offers global exposure and a chance to influence strategic workout outcomes within a high-impact risk function.

• Represent the firm in complex debt restructurings involving multiple stakeholders
• Perform in-depth credit analysis and formulate workout strategies to maximize recoveries
• Identify early warning signs of credit weakness and escalate to senior leadership
• Monitor performance of counterparties in the distressed Watch List and ensure covenant adherence
• Engage with regulators and external auditors on watchlist names, provisioning, and workout approaches
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with cross-functional partners across the firm

• 8-10 years of experience in managing/leading complex debt restructurings across the capital structure
• Proven independent decision-making and ability to work collaboratively in teams
• Advanced corporate finance, restructuring, and financial accounting skills
• Strong background in reviewing legal documents related to waivers, amendments, and restructuring agreements
• Ability to lead deal teams and supervise junior members
• Effective communication with senior leadership inside and outside Credit Risk
• Master’s degree in finance, engineering, economics or other quantitative fields
