The Risk Monitoring Specialist / Risk Monitoring Analyst tracks risk exposures and key risk indicators to identify emerging issues and support timely action. The role involves reviewing risk data, incidents, trends, and limit breaches to assess changes in the organization’s risk profile and adherence to established risk policies and thresholds.

The successful candidate will collaborate with risk, compliance, finance, and operational teams to investigate exceptions, elevate significant concerns, and track mitigation actions. This position also prepares risk monitoring reports, maintains accurate records, and recommends improvements to monitoring processes and early warning indicators.

This position also prepares risk monitoring reports, maintains accurate records, and recommends improvements to monitoring processes and early warning indicators.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, statistics, risk management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in risk monitoring, risk analysis, internal controls, compliance, or operational analysis.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify risk trends, investigate anomalies, and assess potential business impacts.
• Understanding of risk management frameworks, key risk indicators, risk limits, and escalation procedures.
• Ability to monitor risk exposures, assess policy adherence, and track mitigation actions through completion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with risk management systems, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate reporting, documentation, and confidentiality.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain risk findings to stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple monitoring activities, meet reporting deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
• Professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CIA, or equivalent are an advantage.
