We are looking for a talented Robotic Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Germany on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of advanced AGV/AMR robotic systems , contributing to autonomous navigation, control, system integration, and the continued evolution of our robotics software platform.
Following the departure of a current team member, we are looking for an engineer who can make an immediate impact while helping us take our robotics technology to the next level.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop, test and optimise software modules and packages for AGV/AMR systems , with a focus on autonomous navigation and robot control.
- Contribute to the transition of the robot software framework to ROS2 , helping to ensure compatibility, scalability and maintainability.
- Support the transition of the Fleet Management System (FMS) to openRMF .
- Integrate software with robotic hardware, sensors and other communication modules.
- Develop and maintain supporting web-based software and services using Python frameworks such as Flask, Django or FastAPI .
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines , automated testing and software quality processes.
- Troubleshoot, test and improve existing robotic systems to enhance reliability and performance.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for real-world robotic applications.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, performance and user experience.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience , ideally within robotics, automation or autonomous systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++ .
- Practical experience with ROS2 .
- Understanding of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs ) and robotic navigation or control systems.
- Experience integrating software with hardware and communication interfaces.
- Experience with Python and web frameworks such as Flask, Django or FastAPI .
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and software development pipelines .
- A structured approach to problem-solving, debugging and software development.
