Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our German sales team, drive key account growth, and ensure seamless coordination across sales, logistics, and customer operations. This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution, requiring strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy & Performance Management

    • Develop and execute sales plans for the German market, monitor performance against targets, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve business objectives.
    • Prepare monthly sales forecasts, performance summary reports, and delivery plans (approximately twice per month) to support data-driven decision-making.
  2. Key Account Management & Business Development

    • Maintain and deepen relationships with strategic customers, identify new business opportunities, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Lead the end-to-end sales process from lead generation and solution presentation to negotiation and contract closing.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to upskill the team.
    • Optimize sales processes and CRM tools to improve efficiency and pipeline visibility.
    • Act as the key liaison among sales, warehouse, logistics, and customers to ensure smooth order processing and on‑time delivery.
    • Oversee order handling, shipment arrangements, and related commercial matters, proactively resolving any issues that may arise.
  3. Business Analysis & Management Reporting

    • Participate in regular management meetings, analyze sales data and operational goals, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
    • Track and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of B2B sales or key account management experience, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role.
  • Industry Background (Preferred): Candidates with experience in the amino acids, fermentation, or pharmaceutical/healthcare ingredients industries are strongly preferred. Knowledge of the German and European animal nutrition, food additives, or pharmaceutical raw material markets is a significant advantage.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
    • Data‑driven mindset with proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI is a plus).
    • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Languages & Mobility: Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken); Mandarin is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically within Germany and occasionally across Europe.
