Sales Manager / Germany Mid Market

As a Manager of Business Development, you will be responsible for acquiring new small and medium enterprise (SME) corporate clients. In this individual contributor role, you will leverage your expertise in technology tools and ability to deliver client‑specific solutions to establish influential relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and senior‑level contacts. Your primary focus will be generating new sales by demonstrating Amex GBT's superior software, services, extensive travel options, 24/7 global support and integrated travel management solutions that help corporations effectively manage and improve their travel investment. Building and maintaining strong client relationships will be crucial to driving revenue growth and increasing Amex GBT's market share in the mid‑market segment.

What You'll Do:

• Actively prospect and conduct deep discovery with key decision makers (CFOs, Procurement Leaders, Corporate Travel Managers) to understand their needs and communicate Amex GBT's value proposition.
• Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Amex GBT's core products, solutions, and customization capabilities, and communicate the value and differentiation of our offerings in the market.
• Grow Amex GBT's portfolio and revenue by playing an active role in value proposition selling, contract negotiation, and closing new customers.
• Promote competitive advantages and outstanding value proposition through proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and presentations once requirements are clearly identified.
• Responsible for contract closing and ensuring smooth implementation of new customers with the implementation team.
• Achieve monthly/quarterly sales goals, transaction targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by signing profitable business aligned with Amex GBT's pricing schedules.
• Collaborate and establish relationships with internal teams to drive new sales from prospective clients within a given territory and spend segment.
• Maintain accurate records, document ROI, overcome objections, and sell with integrity while ensuring compliance and coordinated client experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven sales achievements, with 2+ years experience exceeding targets within the tech/SaaS industry.
• Advanced proficiency in pipeline management, proposal management tools, sales enablement tools, and CRM tools.
• High level of prospecting skills, able to build and prioritize a pipeline based on value, sales cycle, and win probability.
• Results‑oriented with a competitive, driven attitude and ability to adapt quickly to different situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to use appropriate communication methods to gain acceptance for products/services.
• Tenacious networker capable of establishing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships, including cold contacts.
• Sophisticated data and financial acumen with the ability to articulate into meaningful actions to support sales program.
• Willingness to travel 25 - 50% of the time within the assigned territory and the ability to work remotely.
