Overview

In this role, you will lead the technical delivery of SAP Ariba within METRO’s LUCA program, focusing on integrating Ariba with S/4HANA to enable standardized, centralized indirect procurement processes. You will collaborate with process leads to align integration approaches with business goals and oversee cloud integration, supplier onboarding, and module configuration. The role combines hands-on implementation with guidance on architecture and security, enabling a scalable, compliant procurement platform. You will work across IT and business teams to drive rapid value and risk reduction while supporting deployment and hypercare activities.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Act as the technical lead for SAP Ariba rollouts and enhancements
Identify gaps between requirements and current processes and propose improvements
Advise on integration approaches and their business implications
Oversee Cloud Integration Gateway configuration
Support API-based data exchange with SAP Ariba
Onboard suppliers on the Ariba Network
Configure SAP Ariba modules (approval workflows, document numbering, interfaces)
Assist data migration of master and transactional data
Participate in testing phases and defect resolution
Support deployment activities including hypercare
Support Service Management through incidents and change requests
Drive IT Security Standards and audit action plans

Zentrale Anforderungen

8+ years of hands-on SAP Ariba experience with Commerce Automation and API-based integration
Experience with Ariba integration methods: CIG, APIs, IDocs, Web Services, or middleware tools (e.g., SAP PI/PO, BTP)
Proficiency in Ariba Network configuration and document mapping
Familiarity with SAP ERP procurement modules (S/4HANA or ECC)
Experience implementing or supporting Ariba modules: Sourcing, Contracts, Buying, Invoicing, Commerce Automation
Understanding of SAP Ariba network configurations and master data flow
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Excellent command of English; willingness to travel
