SAP FI/CO Senior Consultant – S/4HANA Transformation | Consulting Assignment

We at WeQuel are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO Senior Consultant for a long-term S/4HANA transformation project with our client in the agricultural trading sector in Germany. This is a primarily remote engagement with occasional on‑site visits — a great opportunity for a seasoned SAP professional ready to take full ownership of the Controlling workstream.

About the assignment

You will join a strategic S/4HANA transformation program as the Subject Matter Expert for the Controlling (CO) domain, working closely with business stakeholders and project leadership from design through go‑live. The role combines deep functional expertise with hands‑on delivery responsibility in a regulated, real‑world industrial context.

Your responsibilities:

• Analyse and optimise existing business processes within SAP FI/CO
• Advise on architecture decisions and support solution design within the S/4HANA transformation
• Plan and facilitate FIT/GAP workshops with business stakeholders
• Design, customise and implement processes in SAP S/4HANA
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and execute data migration activities
• Plan and execute testing as well as end‑user training
• Support cutover, go‑live and hypercare phases
• Act as SME for the Controlling domain and communicate with stakeholders up to C‑level
• Ensure quality assurance within the SAP Controlling workstream

Must have:

• Proven experience as an SAP FI/CO Senior Consultant with a strong focus on Controlling (CO)
• Hands‑on S/4HANA project experience — ideally in a transformation context
• Experience facilitating FIT/GAP workshops and driving solution design
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, including C‑level
• Business‑fluent German — project language is German
• Resident in Germany

Good to have:

• Experience within agricultural trading or similar industrial sectors
• Background in data migration and cutover management
• Quality assurance experience in SAP CO environments
• Experience working in hybrid remote/on‑site project setups

Practical details:

Primarily remote | On‑site: Vechta, Nedersachsen, Germany, approx. once per month
Start: ASAP — until mid‑2027
Capacity: 60–80%
Max. hourly rate: EUR 140/hour (travel expenses reimbursed)
