SAP MDG Consultant

We’re hiring an experienced SAP MDG Consultant to join our team, supporting master data governance implementations for clients across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) for relevant data domains (e.g., material, customer, vendor, finance)
• Design and set up governance workflows, data models, validation rules, and derivation logic
• Define data quality rules and duplicate check configurations to ensure consistent, governed master data
• Work across integration points between SAP MDG and other SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO) as well as connected downstream systems
• Run requirement workshops with client stakeholders and translate business needs into functional specifications
• Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and configuration guides
• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support, troubleshooting governance and data quality issues as they arise
• Report project status, risks, and blockers to project leads and client stakeholders
• Collaborate with SAP Data Migration and Syniti ADM consultants on cross project data dependencies where relevant

Requirements

• Hands on experience implementing and supporting SAP MDG
• Solid understanding of master data domains and governance processes across at least one core data object (material, customer, vendor, or finance)
• Experience configuring MDG workflows, business rules, and data models
• Experience integrating SAP MDG with other SAP modules
• German language proficiency at B2/C1 (required for direct client communication)
• Professional working proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA specifically
• Exposure to Fiori-based MDG
• Background in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Financial Services industries
• SAP certification in MDG or a related data management module
• Familiarity with data migration or Syniti ADM tools and how they interface with MDG-governed data
