SAP P2P Functional Process Consultant – AP & E-Invoicing (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin, Germany (Primarily Remote)
Start Date: 1Decemeber 2026 (or earlier)
Contract Duration: 12 months, with extension potential

Key Responsibilities

• Support the functional design and implementation of the SAP blueprint for Accounts Payable and payment processes across SAP FI and MM.

• Design and implement invoice management processes, including PO-based and FI invoice processing.

• Support the implementation of e-invoicing processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

• Analyse and optimise existing P2P processes, leveraging SAP standard functionality wherever possible.

• Define functional requirements for interfaces between SAP and upstream systems, supporting process integration and testing.

• Conduct functional testing and validation of implemented blueprint processes.

• Identify, analyse and resolve functional issues across invoice management, AP and payment processes.

• Coordinate with business stakeholders and IT teams throughout implementation activities.

• Produce process documentation, functional specifications and end-user manuals.

• Support change management and ensure successful adoption of implemented processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong functional expertise in SAP FI , particularly Accounts Payable (AP), PO-based invoices and FI invoice management.

• Good knowledge of SAP MM and its integration with payment-related processes.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes.

• Hands-on experience in functional process design, blueprint implementation and optimisation of invoice and payment management processes.

• Practical experience implementing e-invoicing solutions and understanding associated business requirements.

• Understanding of SAP interfaces, system integration and process automation.

• Ability to independently translate business requirements into functional solutions.

• Experience identifying process gaps and supporting functional implementation, testing and validation.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across business and IT teams.

• Structured, proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of deliverables and drive tasks independently.

Languages

• Fluent written and spoken English.

• German language skills are advantageous but not essential.
