Security Incident and Emergency Response Specialist (18-Month Leased Labor) - EU Focus (m/f/d)

In this role, you will lead and support the lifecycle of security incidents across consumer electronics while aligning response efforts with European regulatory requirements. You’ll work within cross-functional teams to analyze incidents, assess regulatory implications, and improve response workflows. The position blends hands-on technical response with compliance-aware coordination. You’ll shape playbooks, tooling, and partnerships to strengthen security posture and regulatory readiness. • Oversee the lifecycle of security incidents and emergency response activities, including technical analysis, rapid assessment of compliance implications, coordination, documentation, and follow-up
• Own lower-priority incidents and assist targeted investigations
• Review trends in technical and regulatory developments to identify emerging needs in incident response
• Embed European legal, regulatory, and standards requirements into incident response workflows with internal and external stakeholders
• Utilize systems and procedures (e.g., SIEM, alerts, threat intelligence) to identify potential security incidents
• Create, maintain, and improve tooling, workflows, and documentation to support incident response and compliance tracking, exploring automation/AI options
• Maintain and expand collaboration with external entities to build long-term security partnerships
• Ensure alignment of technical, compliance, and communication aspects throughout incident handling

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
• First practical experience in security incident response, security operations, cyber defense, or related area
• Solid understanding of incident and emergency response processes (assessment, prioritization, investigation, mitigation)
• Experience with SIEM tools, alerting systems, threat intelligence, and related workflows; collaboration with other teams on incident handling
• Initial exposure to European regulatory topics (e.g., GDPR, Cyber Resilience Act) and willingness to deepen expertise
• Ability to translate technical incident details into practical compliance and reporting steps
• Strong documentation and process mindset; contribute to playbooks, workflows, and post-incident reviews
• Structured, under-pressure work style and effective collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Communications, and external security stakeholders
• Professional proficiency in English; EU-based location
• Ideally ~3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of mobile security concepts and trends; exposure to consumer electronics, wearables, IoT; familiarity with tooling, scripting, automation, or AI in incident response or compliance
