(Senior) Account Manager – Strategic Automotive Sales (f/m/d)

Job Description

The (Senior) Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, customer success, and long-term strategic partnerships across a portfolio of assignedstrategicaccounts. This role acts as the primary commercial advisor to customers, helping them achieve their business and engineering objectives throughRenesas's solutions and services. Working closely with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and internal cross-functionaldepartments, the(Senior) Account Managerdevelops and executes strategic account plans, manages complex sales cycles, and identifies opportunities to expand customer value while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic Automotive Tier-1 accounts, serving as the primary commercial interface between customers and Renesas.
• Act as a trusted advisor to key customer decision-makers and drive long-term strategic partnerships and business growth initiatives.
• Develop and execute account strategies aligned with customer roadmaps andRenesasgrowth objectives.
• Drive design wins, revenue growth, and market share expansion by identifying new business opportunities across Renesas' product portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive, commercial, procurement, and engineering stakeholders.
• Lead complex sales opportunities and negotiations involving cross-functionalcustomerand Renesas teams.
• Position and promote Renesas MCU, SoC, Analog, Power, Connectivity, and system-level solutions to support customer platform developments.
• Collaborate closely with Field Application Engineers, Product Marketing, Business Units, and Operations to deliver customer success.
• Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline and provide accurate forecasting through proactive account and opportunity management.
• Deliver compelling business and technical presentations to customer audiences at all organizational levels.
• Maintain accurate account, opportunity, and forecast data within Salesforce and travel to customer and industry events as required (approximately 20–30%, including occasional international travel).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineeringor a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• Up to 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within the semiconductor, technology, or automotive industries.
• Basic knowledge of the automotive and semiconductor markets, including exposure to MCU, SoC, Analog, and Power semiconductor products.
• Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales opportunities.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to effectively engageandinfluence both technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a proactive, self‑driven, and ownership‑oriented mindset.
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt and perform in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
• Strong organizational skills with a commitment to timely reporting and clear communication.
• Valid Class B driver's license.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% across Germany and Europe, with occasional international travel as required.
