Senior Accountant (f/m/d)

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong focus on process optimization and finance transformation within an asset management environment. This role goes beyond traditional accounting: you will act as a key driver of efficiency, automation, control improvements, and operational finance processes.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical accounting expertise with a continuous improvement mindset, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance scalability, accuracy, and speed.

What You Will Do

• Drive change and improve governance across management and trail fee calculations and related processes using the newest technologies
• Continuously review existing internal controls, and design and implement additional effective and efficient control processes with clear ownership (if needed)
• Contribute to Finance Transformation (S/4HANA) by supporting automation, standardization, and best practices
• Act as a key interface to our main stakeholders and business partners, particularly Distribution, Distribution Operations, Sales Controlling, and the global Finance team in APAC
• Ensure high-quality deliverables from globally operating outsourcing partners
• Lead and execute the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Perform variance analysis and investigate significant fluctuations
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team
• Act as the deputy for the Head of Revenues and Expenses Europe
• Mid- to long-term: lead and mentor a team of three accountants focused on management and trail fee tasks, ensuring strong guidance and execution, and ensuring accurate and timely input for financial reporting and audits, with the goal of maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

What You Bring

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics and/or 5+ years of practical finance experience
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a team, providing structure, clarity, and context in a complex business and finance environment
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to simplify complexity and deliver actionable insights
• Solid accounting background and strong attention to detail, with a high degree of ownership and accountability
• Hands‑on mentality, can‑do attitude, and willingness to engage at all levels—no task is too small
• Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross‑cultural teams, adapting communication and working style to a multicultural environment
• Fluency in English required; German is a plus
• SAP S/4HANA knowledge is beneficial
• Experience in Microsoft CoPilot
