We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. In this role, you'll ensure compliance, drive process improvements, and partner with teams across the business to support informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Your roadmap to make an impact

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoice processing, payments, collections, and expense reporting.
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset reconciliations.
Perform and manage inter company reconciliations, ensuring accurate balances and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Maintain robust financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to support audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes, financial controls, and documentation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support business decisions, and improve operational processes.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
4 - 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in startups, scale-ups, or complex environments.
Strong hands-on experience with German accounting standards (HGB); IFRS exposure is a plus.
Experience owning closing processes and working with auditors.
Practical experience with ERP systems, Odoo experience is a strong plus.
Familiarity with spend/expense tools such as Moss, Pleo, Spendesk, or similar.
Strong Excel skills and interest in automation and modern, AI-supported accounting workflows.
Hands-on, structured, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
Fluent in German and English.
