Role and team

We are now looking for a Senior Accountant / Process Expert, Record-to-Close, to join our Finance & Control team supporting the UPM Paper Business. Responsibilities

• Lead and perform complex accounting tasks in your area, focusing on Group, statutory and tax reporting in the Paper Business
• Take ownership of the execution and quality assurance of Finnish statutory financial statements and corporate income tax reporting activities
• Oversee the high-quality and timely execution of Record-to-Close processes, taking responsibility for end-to-end delivery and the accuracy of reported information within your area
• Collaborate closely with outsourcing partners and key stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient ways of working
• Contribute to global projects, development initiatives, and regulatory or reporting changes in your area
• Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement to Record-to-Close processes

Qualifications

• You are a self-directed finance professional with a solution-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills
• Experience with record-to-report processes and knowledge of IFRS and FAS
• Ability to understand and work with complex processes and data flows
• Collaborative, positive team orientation in a global setting; adaptable to change
• Strong IT skills; experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4 is an asset
• Fluent in Finnish; able to work in English
• Relevant degree in Finance, preferably accounting, taxation or business administration
• Experience in a similar industry and business processes is an asset

Additional information

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Tampere, Finland. The position holder will report to Process Manager, Record-to-Close.
