Senior Advertising Manager, Amazon

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advertising strategies for Amazon and other marketplaces in alignment with our business unit and company objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders such as Marketplace Managers, BU leads, etc.
  • Strategically manage, structure and continuously optimize campaigns, with a focus on Sponsored Ads and display formats.
  • Monitor key KPIs such as ROAS, ACoS, TACoS, CPC and conversion rate and derive concrete optimization measures.
  • Plan, manage and control advertising budgets with a focus on revenue, efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through testing innovative ad formats, placements and campaign approaches.
  • Conduct competitor analyses and market monitoring to detect trends and optimization opportunities early.
  • Improve existing processes, reporting and campaign structures to increase transparency, controllability and performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Communication Sciences, E‑Commerce or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience (at least 2 years in Amazon PPC), ideally in an e‑commerce, marketplace or agency environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Amazon Sponsored Ads; experience with Amazon DSP and Amazon Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • Ideally some initial experience with other marketplaces such as Kaufland or other retail‑media platforms.
  • Confident user of Excel or Google Sheets as well as analysis, dashboard and BI tools; experience with tools such as Helium 10, Keepa, metoda, Adspert, Perpetua or Adference is an advantage.
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills and a strong results orientation.
  • Clear communication skills and enjoyment working with different stakeholders; high self‑initiative.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn and interest in new ad formats, platforms and tools.
