Senior AI Product Engineer – Agentic Experience (CTO Team)

Your future team

We’re looking for product engineers who multiply their impact through agentic coding. You’ll own entire problem spaces, ship fast by leveraging tools like Claude Code, and will work on the most strategic parts of our future of Holidu. You will build AI agents that serve millions of guests and hosts, and strive to build the AGI for the vacation rental space.

The Context

Holidu connects 4 million guests with 55k+ vacation rental hosts every year. Our Agentic Experience team is a small, fast-moving group inside the Holidu’s 200-person Engineering organization, that’s rethinking how users interact with our platform using AI, how we build applications, and agentic systems, and we do a lot of first-principles thinking.

We’re not running playbooks or following standard processes. We innovate and move radically fast.

Your role in this journey

Own problems, not tickets. You won’t be handed a backlog. You’ll be handed challenges like "our hosts spend too much time on guest communication" or "we need to understand why conversion drops here" and you’ll figure out what to build.

Ship fast, learn faster. We measure output in customer impact, not lines of code. You’ll take features from idea to production, often in days.

Work at the frontier. Our Agentic Experience team builds AI agents that handle thousands of real guest-host conversations, automate complex workflows, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with LLMs in production.

Know your tools, stay curious. Our stack runs on Kotlin/Java, AWS, k8s, ReactJS, and PostgreSQL, and you won’t hesitate to introduce the right tool for tomorrow.

Your backpack is filled with

• You have 5+ years of backend development experience (Kotlin or Java).
• You use AI coding tools like Claude Code as a natural extension of your workflow, not because it’s trendy, but because you’ve found it makes your thinking more effective.
• You’ve shipped production systems and understand what it takes to keep them running.
• You think in products, not features. You ask "what problem are we solving?" before "what should I build?".
• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and energized by ownership.
• You have strong fundamentals (we mostly use Kotlin, but the language matters less than the thinking).
• You communicate clearly — with code, in documents, and in conversation.
