Senior Architect - JS Execution Engine

As Senior Architect, you will steer the JS execution engine strategy to boost performance and competitiveness. You will lead a team to deliver core innovations and shape next-generation architecture for future scenarios. You will cultivate collaborations with academia, open-source communities, and industry partners to attract talent and advance the research agenda. This role sits at Huawei’s Hilbert Research Center, contributing to a mission of language- VM advancement and system-level innovation. You will influence the broader research ecosystem and technology stack development.

• own the technical competitiveness of the JS execution engine and drive key innovations

• Master or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines
• deep knowledge of language virtual machines and compilers
• experience with mainstream JS engines (e.g., v8, JavaScriptCore, SpiderMonkey) in design, implementation, and optimization
• strong links with academia, industry and open-source community (preferred)
• experience leading a research lab or development team (preferred)
• fluent in written and spoken English
