Your Mission

As a Senior Associate, AFC Compliance Advisory & Oversight, you will support the growth of Bitpanda’s institutional and enterprise business. By working at the intersection of law, regulation, product innovation, and commercial strategy, you will advise on complex legal and regulatory matters related to B2B, B2B2B, and B2B2C partnerships across multiple jurisdictions.

What you’ll do

• Act as an AFC advisor to Bitpanda Enterprise – provide practical legal and regulatory advice to B2B, B2B2B, and B2B2C partnerships with banks, financial institutions, fintechs, and other enterprise clients.
• Represent Bitpanda in legal and regulatory discussions – support due‑diligence processes, answer legal and compliance questionnaires, respond to regulatory queries, and build trusted, long‑term business relationships with partners.
• Support the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements – include partnership, technology, API, outsourcing, licensing, confidentiality, and other contractual arrangements while balancing AFC risks with commercial objectives.
• Support development and launch of new products and services – assess legal and regulatory implications and work closely with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering teams to enable compliant and scalable solutions.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments – translate legal requirements into practical guidance, identify AFC risks, and contribute to governance frameworks that support Bitpanda Enterprise’s growth.

Who you are

• Educational Background – A university degree in Law is highly desirable. Alternatively, you have relevant professional experience reviewing, drafting, and providing legal feedback on commercial agreements, partnership agreements, MoUs, confidentiality agreements, and other legal documentation within a regulated environment. Familiarity with European financial‑services regulation (MiCAR, MiFID, PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT, outsourcing requirements) is a strong advantage.
• Professional Experience – You have supported regulated financial services, fintech, banking, payments, digital assets, or other regulated industries in a compliance, legal, regulatory, or commercial advisory capacity. Experience with enterprise customers, financial institutions, or strategic partners is highly desirable.
• Commercial Mindset – You balance legal and regulatory considerations with business objectives, providing practical, solution‑oriented advice that supports product development, commercial partnerships, and business growth. You communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Language Proficiency – You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. Professional proficiency in German is required.
