(Senior) Associate Leveraged Finance

At Ascory Bank, we offer structured financing solutions for growth-driven and investor-driven transactions – with clear processes and rapid implementation. We are specifically expanding one of our core business areas – leveraged finance – with a focus on financing equity investments, acquisitions and growth strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises (small- and mid-cap) in selected growth sectors. Typical use cases include growth and transformation financing, MBOs and LBOs, investments and takeovers by growth investors, as well as add-on acquisitions and buy-and-build strategies.

Would you like to play an active role in shaping challenging financing transactions? In this role, you will support the entire deal process alongside experienced colleagues and investors – working swiftly, in a solution-oriented manner and as equals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analysis, valuation and structuring of financing for equity investments, acquisitions and growth strategies in the small- and mid-cap segment
• Analysis of business models, markets, financial histories, management teams, business plans and capital structures, as well as preparation of the results for lending decisions
• Preparation, further development and validation of integrated financial models, including base-case and downside-case analyses, liquidity analyses, covenant analyses and debt ratio analyses
• Support in the development of innovative, yet reliable and feasible financing structures, in particular senior secured term loans, growth capital loans and revolving facilities such as capex or acquisition facilities
• Preparation of decision-making documents, in particular term sheets, loan applications, loan proposals and presentations; support throughout the approval, documentation and onboarding processes
• Support in the negotiation and closing of transactions, as well as in the ongoing analysis and monitoring of the portfolio

YOUR PROFILE:

• A successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Law or a comparable course of study
• Demonstrable professional experience in the fields of leveraged finance or acquisition finance, corporate lending, private debt, investment banking, M&A, transaction services or deal advisory
• A sound understanding of investor-driven transactions and the key risk and return drivers of credit structures
• Experience in analysing EBITDA, operating cash flow, covenants and debt service capacity in base and downside scenarios
• Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to independently create and critically evaluate integrated financial models and concise decision-making documents
• Analytical thinking, an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for presenting complex issues in a structured, solution-oriented and audience-appropriate manner
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English
• Initiative, team spirit and a desire to play an active role in shaping a new business division
