Senior Backend Engineer (Operations and Client Services)

Requirements

• Proficiency in JVM-based backend development and distributed systems
• At least 5 years of overall technology experience
• Hands‑on familiarity with cloud platforms, event‑based architectures or frontend engineering a plus
• Experience working within Agile teams, applying iterative development and rapid feedback to continuously improve solutions

What the job involves

• As a Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/x), you will help us shaping the design and implementation of our platform and the applications that run on top of it.
• We are looking for a hands‑on engineer with experience working in teams and interfacing with stakeholders to solve the complex operational challenges that Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank faces today
• Implement end‑to‑end client service automations for corporate clients within Deutsche Bank
• Design, develop and document microservice‑based & cloud‑native application components in accordance with requirements specification
• Write clear, maintainable and reusable code and take part in code reviews to ensure that features are developed at high quality standards
• Participate in technical discussions and architecture decisions within the team
• Work in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy
