Senior Backend VPP Software Engineer - TypeScript (m/f/d)

• Develop and optimize backend services for VPP operations and energy market integrations
• Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and data scientists to solve customer problems
• Design APIs and abstraction layers for inter-component communication
• Ensure scalability to support many connected users
• Implement, evaluate, and deploy data-driven software solutions
• Foster experiment-driven innovation and strong teamwork
• Improve developer experience by reducing tech debt and documenting processes
• Coordinate across boundaries with stakeholders and other teams

• Proven experience in developing scalable backend solutions with TypeScript
• Experience building virtual power plant infrastructure and energy market integration
• Hands-on experience with interfaces in energy services (smart meters, energy optimization, load balancing)
• Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP, with GitHub Actions
• Passion for maintainable, well-documented, reusable, and testable code
• Awareness of software engineering trends and best practices
• Agile, product-oriented mindset and strong teamwork
• Very good written and spoken English; German a plus
