Senior DevOps Engineer – SAP Sovereign Cloud

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product and tool owners, program managers, developers, security experts, architects, and global security colleagues to define and implement the infrastructure toolset essential for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations. Your tasks will encompass proof of concepts (POCs) and productive tool development and integration, providing you with hands‑on experience in various DevOps tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• New Engineering Development (Research and Development): Innovate and pioneer new solutions.
• Upkeep and Maintenance (Refactoring): Optimize and enhance existing systems.
• Problem Solving (Support): Troubleshoot and provide solutions.
• Mentorship: Assist junior team members.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of technical professional experience.
• Proficiency in technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their product offerings.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience containerizing VM‑based workloads.
• Previous experience in an enterprise‑level team.
• Experience with scripting languages.
• Openness to learning new methods and technologies.
• Experience with Project Management or collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Notion).
• Experience in SAP Product Offerings; SAP Basis knowledge is imperative.
• Specifically in‑depth experience with S/4HANA, S/4HANA PCE and IBP.
• Strong decision‑making skills and a can‑do attitude.
• Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking.
• Persistent, self‑starter, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process for classified work.

Work Experience

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery‑related fields and technologies.
• 5+ years of cloud automation experience.
