Senior Bunker Trader

Title: Senior Bunker & Marine Fuel Trader (Back to Back)

Location: Remote/WFH (in Europe)

Salary: 80-120,000EUR basic + bonus (of course in a trading role, compensation depends on location and volume of business). If your salary requirements fall outside of this, we would still love to chat.

In what has been a longstanding but modest, considered and organic growth plan, we are exclusively retained to find the next long‑term marine fuels and bunker trader to join this established and long‑serving boutique. If you are a bunker trader working on a floor with too many cooks, we would love to speak to you about a remote position with our client where you can focus on and earn on what you are doing, not what your colleagues are.

With an established office on the sun‑kissed Côte d’Azur, there is both the option for long‑term relocation or remote working elsewhere in Europe for the right traders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for back‑to‑back trading of Bunkers, Marine fuel, Lubricants (Fuel Oil, Gas Oil, Alternative Fuels) to shipowners/operators/traders within the global market in your own niche (whether commercial, military or government fuel contracts)
• Provide best‑in‑class service in response to bunker and marine fuel enquiries across North‑West Europe and Med markets, offering transparent pricing and value added services to customers and shipowners
• Establish relationships and leverage upon existing relations with end‑users and suppliers to facilitate back‑to‑back bunker trading across Tanker, Dry, Bulk, Military & Commercial sectors.
• Stay on top of market news and insight, understanding market analysis within global ports and bunker pricing to be in a position to advise and negotiate with counterparties across the fuel oil space

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience trading back‑to‑back bunker/marine fuel trading position across NWE/APAC/MENA/MED
• A solid understanding of bunkering policies within various European Ports with a proven track record of executing business efficiently and transparently.
• Understanding of hedging and pricing tools to facilitate confident and effective trading of bunkers/marine fuel.
• Fluency in English (additional language skills preferable but not essential)
• Network of contacts/portfolio of business to build a back‑to‑back bunker trading portfolio
