Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d)- Trading Business Support

As a Senior Business Analyst in Trading Business Support, you drive strategic improvements for Statkraft’s Proprietary Trading operations. You will own cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with finance, risk, and IT, and shape governance for scalable processes. You’ll strengthen financial planning, reporting, and cost management in a fast-paced, international environment. • Take ownership of strategic development initiatives from business case through transition into stable operations
• Lead or coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Proprietary Trading, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT and operational support
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and management reporting for Proprietary Trading in collaboration with Controlling & Performance Management
• Act as interface between Proprietary Trading and finance-related departments (Accounting, Procurement, Tax, Financial Reporting)
• Coordinate business input, resolve data/process issues, and document workflows/assumptions for accurate, consistent execution
• Improve processes and controls for shared services (market data, technology, analytics) to maximise department value
• Support audit readiness with documentation, coordinating responses, and implementing actions
• Map and continuously improve end-to-end processes and governance within Trading Business Support and wider organisation
• Handle administrative support and act as first line of support during operational incidents
• Represent Propr Trading in projects, working groups and governance forums with aligned outcomes
• Build and maintain relationships with international stakeholders

• University degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, business engineering or related field
• Several years of relevant professional experience in business management, consulting, advisory, project management or similar role
• Experience in commodity trading, energy markets, financial services or regulated environments an advantage
• Commercial mindset and proactive stakeholder support with ability to challenge senior decision-makers
• Ability to structure ambiguous topics, balance priorities, and work independently with accountability
• Track record of owning cross-functional initiatives and delivering complex changes
• Experience defining and implementing end-to-end business processes with governance and controls
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and performance management
• Experience supporting audit activities, controls, reconciliations, and data-quality issues
• Strong analytical skills and affinity for data, digital tools, financial systems; advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills across international teams
• Structured, disciplined, solution-oriented style with attention to detail
• Excellent written/spoken English; German and/or Norwegian an advantage
