Senior Business Controller (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) . Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes for the designated Business Segment. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the automotive sector.
• Controlling and reporting . Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Perform comprehensive variance analysis, identifying drivers for deviations from budget and forecast and providing actionable insights to management.
• Strategic Business Partnership . Act as a trusted financial advisor to operational managers, sales and executive leadership on strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, investment proposals and operational improvements. Drive profitability improvement initiatives through margin analysis, efficiency studies and cost reduction projects.
• M&A support . Provide transaction support and financial preparation for complex structural changes and strategic business transformations.
• Process improvement . Continuously seek opportunities to enhance controlling processes, reporting tools and financial systems.

Qualifications

• Experience : A minimum of 7+ years' progressive experience in finance or controlling roles.
• Industry expertise : Significant and dedicated experience working within the automotive supply tier 1 or tier 2 manufacturing industry is mandatory.
• Business Planning : Proven ability to set up, structure and execute comprehensive business plans from scratch, translating strategic goals into financial roadmaps.
• Education : Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field. An MBA or professional certification would be advantageous.
• Technical skills : Expert proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, as well as hands-on experience with major ERP systems.
• Solid accounting and financial proficiency
• Communication : Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex financial data (including cash flow implications) into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Languages : Fluent English, both spoken and written.
