Overview

Senior Financial Accountant at Helsing, responsible for the end-to-end CAPEX lifecycle and fixed asset accounting across multiple entities. You will partner with project managers and department heads to ensure IFRS/local GAAP-compliant capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and asset disposal. Your controls and reporting underpin reliable financial statements for long-term investments. This role offers close collaboration with leadership and the chance to shape asset governance in a mission-driven, high-tech defence context.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Own the capitalisation process and classify CAPEX vs OPEX per IAS 16/IAS 38
Prepare general ledger entries for fixed assets: additions, transfers, disposals, write-offs
Reconcile Fixed Asset Register to GL monthly and investigate variances
Monitor Construction in Progress accounts and ensure timely capitalization
Lead month-end and year-end close for fixed assets with CAPEX variance reporting
Coordinate annual impairment reviews and asset verification audits
Act as primary contact for external auditors with audit files and technical Justifications
Design and maintain internal controls and policies for capital spend and asset tracking

Zentrale Anforderungen

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) in a multi-entity, high-volume CAPEX environment
End-to-end fixed asset accounting lifecycle experience including CIP, depreciation, impairment, disposals
Strong IFRS and local GAAP knowledge related to PPE (IAS 16) and intangible assets (IAS 38)
ERP system proficiency (SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
Ability to communicate technical accounting positions clearly to management
Capable of managing multiple close deadlines with accuracy
