(Senior) Claims Fraud Investigator (gn) – Permanent position based in Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Köln or Stuttgart. Reports to the EU Special Investigations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Schadenbearbeitung & Ermittlung: Conduct independent investigations of fraud‑suspected claim cases, analyse claim data, documents and other information sources to identify anomalies, conduct interviews with involved parties, and produce complete, audit‑ready documentation of findings.
• Triage & Fraud Detection: Review and prioritise suspicious claim cases flagged by claims underwriters, automated fraud tools, predictive models or external partners; identify new fraud patterns and forward relevant insights to the Fraud Centre of Excellence.
• Zusammenarbeit & Stakeholder‑Management: Serve as the first national point of contact for insurance fraud topics in Germany; build, maintain and extend national fraud networks through expert exchange, industry initiatives and partnerships; collaborate closely with claims, underwriting, legal, compliance and external partners.
• Operational Excellence & Governance: Ensure all investigations comply with legal, regulatory and internal requirements; maintain, update and analyse fraud data; actively participate in continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Juris doctor or alternative completion of a university degree or a 3‑year insurance training with additional fraud qualification (e.g., specialist in insurance fraud prevention).
• Significant experience in claim processing and fraud investigation within the insurance sector.
• Strong analytical skills, structured working style and excellent communication competence.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
