Senior Cloud Architect & Advisor (f/m/d) for RISE with SAP and BDC in MEE

What you’ll do

As a Cloud Architect & Advisor (CAA), you will be responsible for the private cloud technical foundation of RISE with SAP and Business Data Cloud (BDC) engagements. The CAA’s mandate spans the initial sales cycle, subsequent change requests and renewal events for private cloud architecture changes. You will advise customers and internal account teams on SAP’s private cloud offerings, assess the technical feasibility of customers’ requirements and translate these into technical landscape designs. As a final step, these landscapes are handed over to our delivery teams for system provisioning.

• Capability to efficiently execute operational and preparatory activities

• 5+ years of customer‑facing experience
• Expertise in the technical operational aspects of SAP solutions in a cloud environment
• Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Understanding of data center capabilities such as high availability or disaster recovery (benefit)
• Good understanding of the entire platform stack (storage, virtualization, hardware, network, etc.)
• Good understanding of SAP technologies (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.)
• Cybersecurity & compliance expertise (advantage)
• Self‑sufficient worker and strong team player
• Affinity to technical topics, willingness to tackle aspects outside comfort zone and to continuously learn
• Fluency in German and English required; any other language is an asset

Cloud Architecture & Advisory is an integral part of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization. ECS drives and develops the SAP Private Cloud portfolio to cater to our customers’ needs and operates most of the RISE with SAP private cloud landscapes and the BWs for Business Data Cloud operated by ECS. The Cloud Architects & Advisors are a motivated, customer‑focused group who validate the technical feasibility of RISE with SAP S/4HANA and BDC Private Cloud deals during the presales phase and serve as trusted advisors post‑signature. This assurance ensures customers receive landscapes that match their requirements and drives adoption of SAP’s cloud offering.
