Senior Cloud Engineer

• Develop modern cloud platforms as part of a team of system administrators and Cloud Engineers
• Design, implement, and operate customized IT infrastructures in the Adacor Private Cloud and Microsoft Azure
• Automate infrastructures using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD
• Continuously advance the Infrastructure-as-Code approach
• Take responsibility for the reliable operation of large, complex, and business-critical customer infrastructures
• Collaborate using agile methods, including sprints, Kanban, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
• Participate in on-call rotations for production customer environments
• Evaluate and implement new technologies for virtualization, containerization, automation, and backup
• Collaborate with customers and exchange technical knowledge across teams
• Contribute your own ideas and actively help shape the platforms

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or a comparable qualification; relevant professional experience without a formal degree is also welcome
• At least five years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer
• Experience implementing and operating production virtualized IT environments and cloud infrastructures
• Proficiency with Terraform, Git, Ansible, Jenkins, or comparable tools
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to handling incidents and problems
• German language skills at C1 level or higher
• Good command of English
• On-call duty: 8-10 times per year, one week at a time, together with a colleague
• Ideally, experience or certifications in Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
