About The Team

The mobile.de Cloud And Infrastructure team provides tooling and support to enable our application developers within a public cloud environment. We handle IaC for containerised workloads on Kubernetes, observability integrations, resource management and more. We fight toil, believe in everything as code and enjoy enabling colleagues to work smarter and faster. We are heavily involved in mobile.de’s ongoing public cloud transformation and monitor our platform 24/7 to detect and tackle incidents in time.

Job Requirements

• You have a proven track record in internet platform operations
• You are proficient in public cloud (AWS, GCP) and containerisation concepts
• You are looking forward to working with K8s, Docker and Cloud Native Services
• You write your configuration code in Terraform/Terragrunt
• You are not afraid of the occasional deep‑dive into Bash, Python, Java, etc.
• Replicated datastores like MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, etc. do not scare you
• Your skill set includes good operational knowledge (TCP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, etc.)
• Consulting and helping others with your expertise makes your day
• You are able to fluently communicate in English

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the success and future of Germany’s biggest automotive marketplace with your knowledge and experience
• Challenge the status quo every day and be a vital part in the optimisation and evolution of the platform in the public cloud
• Co‑own operations and constantly improve our platform by driving automation, simplicity, reliability and observability
• Share your knowledge and mentor team members as well as application developers in SRE principles
• Use, adapt and (re)design automated workflows as well as maintain and upgrade services of any kind
• Aim to understand the platform’s history to shape the future by establishing playbooks and tools for maintenance and migrations
• This role is all about platform engineering in the public cloud and its operations and we want you for this!
