Join J&T Express as our (Senior) Compliance Counsel – Compliance Management & Investigations

and help build a modern Compliance Management System from the ground up. Working closely with our Head of Legal & Compliance, you will establish governance structures, advise the business on complex compliance matters, and foster a strong culture of integrity across our European organization.

The role is currently based in Kelsterbach. As part of our continued growth, we are planning to relocate our office to Nieder-Olm, near Mainz, around October 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve our Compliance Management System across Germany and Europe
• Design compliance governance structures, internal controls, monitoring processes, and compliance reporting frameworks
• Perform enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments and benchmark the Compliance Management System against recognized standards (e.g. ISO 37301, IDW PS 980)
• Develop and maintain key compliance policies, including the Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Third-Party Compliance, Whistleblowing, and Fraud Prevention
• Advise business stakeholders on compliance matters and support strategic business initiatives
• Lead internal investigations, manage whistleblowing cases, prepare investigation reports, and coordinate remediation measures with relevant stakeholders
• Perform compliance due diligence on business partners and Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), and further develop third-party compliance processes
• Deliver compliance training, conduct audits, and promote a strong culture of compliance throughout the organization

Your Profile

• Degree in Law, Business Law, or a comparable legal qualification
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Compliance, preferably within an international organization
• Proven experience establishing, implementing, or significantly enhancing Compliance Management Systems
• Experience with Compliance Management Systems, internal investigations, and compliance advisory
• Strong understanding of corporate compliance frameworks; knowledge of ISO 37301, IDW PS 980, or comparable standards is an advantage
• Experience in the logistics, e-commerce, transportation, or technology sector is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
• Independent, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of integrity
• Business fluent in German and English
