This role will be part of the Investment & Asset Management Tower for Group Technology (IT1.9), responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and maintenance of all investment and asset management systems, applications, and platforms. The Tower manages the seamless transition of new systems or projects to steady‑state operations and takes ownership of key business relationships, providing accurate metrics on uptime, issues, and resolutions.
Within the Division of Investment Services, the Data Platform & AI unit is at the forefront of building the data and AI foundation that powers Asset Management. Our mandate spans the design and delivery of a modern data platform, advanced analytics capabilities, and scalable AI solutions tailored to asset and investment management needs.
In mid‑2025, we launched a multi‑year transformation program to establish a next‑generation data ecosystem. This initiative is focused on creating a robust, evolving enterprise‑grade data platform that underpins our analytics and AI capabilities—enabling high‑impact insights, regulatory compliance, and differentiated asset management strategies.
We are seeking a seasoned Data Analytics Architect to play a key role in shaping and operationalising this transformation. This is an opportunity to influence foundational architecture decisions, define enterprise data standards, and contribute to a strategic platform that will drive innovation across the organization for many years.
You are a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven ability for building modern data platforms at scale. You combine architectural vision with hands‑on understanding, and you thrive in environments with high exposure to business stakeholders and technical leaders where you can deliver lasting impact.
Shape the Data Foundation Architecture: Define and evolve the end‑to‑end architecture of the Data Foundation Layer, establishing a scalable, real‑time, and enterprise‑wide data platform as the single authoritative source of truth with involvement of business. You will do so according to standards and patterns, controls enforced at Munich Re: Drive Data as a Product & Enterprise Data Modeling.
Establish reusable, high‑quality data products with clear ownership, standardized data models, and full historical context (SCD2), enabling analytics, AI, and regulatory use cases.
Enable Data Governance, Contracts & Compliance: Design and enforce data contracts, access control, and federated governance frameworks to ensure trust, regulatory compliance, and controlled data sharing across domains.
Enable Data Quality, Reliability & Observability: Define and implement end‑to‑end data quality frameworks, including validation, monitoring, lineage, and auditability, guaranteeing trusted and production‑grade data assets.
Enable Transformation & Analytics/AI‑Ready Data Ecosystem: Lead the transition from siloed pipelines to a unified platform, enabling self‑service data access and delivering high‑quality, model‑ready data to power advanced analytics and AI/GenAI use cases.
