Senior Data Platform Architect | Robotics Hyperscaler | Germany

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on architect responsible for the end‑to‑end data flow from devices to cloud, treating data as a product and enabling analytics and ML/AI at scale.
• Own the data architecture from device → field hub → cloud, ensuring data is available for analytics, training and AI use cases.
• Design and evolve a data‑mesh‑aligned platform, where data products are well‑defined, governed, and consumable by teams.
• Enable ML/AI workflows by ensuring high‑quality, well‑modeled, and accessible datasets.
• Work with heterogeneous data types, including sensor data, motion data, audio, images, and video.
• Define and enforce data governance, including multi‑tenant customer isolation and controlled data sharing.
• Act as a hands‑on architect, building and improving pipelines, schemas, and platform tooling while guiding decisions via ADRs.

Candidate

• 50–70% hands‑on contribution to platform and pipeline implementation.
• Strong experience designing scalable telemetry and data platforms.
• Practical application of data mesh principles and data products.
• Experience working with heterogeneous data (sensor, audio, image, video).
• Strong focus on ML/AI enablement and analytics workloads.
• Expertise in data modeling, data quality, schema evolution, and metadata management.
• Strong understanding of data governance, including multi‑tenant and customer data isolation.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS‑based data platforms e.g. S3, Glue, Spark, Iceberg.
• Uses ADRs and collaborative architectural decision‑making.
