Senior Design Engineer (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to support the development of automotive systems for leading OEMs. The successful candidate will be responsible for component design, engineering release activities, supplier coordination, and technical project execution throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Design and develop automotive components and assemblies from concept through production.
• Execute Design Release Engineer (DRE) activities, including engineering changes, drawing releases, and product documentation.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5/V6.
• Coordinate technical discussions with suppliers to ensure component feasibility, quality, cost, and timing objectives are achieved.
• Manage supplier deliverables, design reviews, and issue resolution throughout development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, purchasing, quality, and project management.
• Participate in prototype builds, validation activities, and design verification.
• Ensure compliance with customer standards, engineering specifications, and automotive quality requirements.
• Manage engineering changes using PLM systems and OEM toolchains.
• Support project planning, risk assessment, and technical reporting.
• 5–8 years of experience in automotive design engineering.
• Proven experience with Design Release Engineering (DRE) activities.
• Very good experience in CATIA V5/V6 within an automotive OEM or Tier-1 suppliers.
• Exposure to tools like Creo, SolidWorks & PLM are good to have.
• Strong experience in supplier management and technical coordination.
• Hands-on experience in automotive product development from concept through production.
