For our FPGA Design Team we are looking for a: Senior Digital Design Engineer (m/f/x)

Key Responsibilities

Drive innovation by evaluating and applying new technologies for high-speed FPGA-based data processing systems
Take ownership of FPGA development tasks from concept definition through verification and delivery
Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and well-documented RTL designs
Develop and execute simulation and verification strategies to ensure design quality and robustness
Participate in FPGA architecture definition, design reviews, and code reviews
Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge within the team

Required Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of professional experience in FPGA digital design, preferably in a telecommunications or high-performance computing environment
Strong proficiency in at least one hardware description language (VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog)
Strong understanding of digital design principles, including FSMs, pipelining, CDC, reset strategies, timing analysis, and timing closure
In-depth knowledge of modern FPGA technologies, especially AMD/Xilinx devices and tools
Experience with FPGA simulation and verification using tools such as QuestaSim, ModelSim, or equivalent
Experience with hardware/software co-design
Experience with version control systems such as Git

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing complex DSP algorithms in FPGA, such as FEC decoders, digital filters, FFTs, DDC/DUC, and high-throughput processing pipelines
Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet (100G/400G), AXI4/AXI4-Stream, Aurora, JESD204B/C, and DDR memory interfaces
Experience with FPGA verification methodologies and frameworks such as UVM, UVVM, OSVVM, or cocotb
Programming experience in Python, TCL, or C/C++
Experience with FPGA-based communication, aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems
