Senior Digital Marketing Manager – Consulting, Team Lead

Responsibilities

• You will take on the functional (and optionally disciplinary) leadership of a digital marketing team and work directly with executive management.
• At the same time, you will advise clients as a trusted partner on the development and implementation of modern marketing and growth strategies across all relevant digital channels.
• You will analyze business models, marketing setups, and growth levers.
• You will develop strategies that drive company objectives — not short-lived trends or vanity metrics.
• You will remain hands‑on and understand the mechanics of modern digital campaigns.
• You will optimize not only campaigns but the entire customer journey.
• You will be responsible for a team of approximately four to six marketing specialists based in Hamburg.
• You will coordinate collaboration between clients, strategists, marketing specialists, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in digital marketing
• Experience at a digital marketing agency, digital consultancy, in e-commerce, or a comparable environment
• Proven track record in developing and executing digital marketing strategies
• Strong understanding of performance marketing, customer journeys, and funnel logic
• Ability to translate marketing activities into measurable business results
• Hands‑on experience with relevant marketing platforms and campaign systems (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Experience in leading team members functionally (disciplinary leadership experience is a plus)
• Strong interest in AI and modern technologies
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
