Senior Director of Product (f/m/d)

In this role you own and scale Orbem’s product function across hardware, software, and AI/ML-enabled systems. You will translate customer needs and company strategy into mass‑scale products, ensuring coherence, speed, and quality across multiple lines. You’ll lead cross‑functional teams in product management, TPM, systems engineering, and quality/compliance to deliver end‑to‑end product success. The role anchors regulatory navigation and customer‑led development, shaping the company’s industrial footprint. A key hook is building a scalable hardware‑plus‑AI platform that accelerates a sustainable, data‑driven transformation of biological insight.

• Deliver end-to-end product coherence across multiple product lines and market segments.
• Define accountability, processes, and tactics with PM, TPM, Systems Engineering, and Quality/Compliance teams.
• Build a unified product ecosystem: requirements, architecture, metrics, and compliance scaffolding.
• Guide regulatory compliance and certifications to enable business growth.
• Elevate the customer voice and establish evidence to support product viability and desirability.
• Develop team capabilities: structure, people, processes, and tools.
• Bridge science, operations, and product to scale AI/ML maturity and application feasibility.
• Own strategic roadmaps, architectures, and compliance plans to improve product metrics across industries.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high‑performing product function spanning multiple domains.
• Own prioritization decisions and tradeoffs, balancing speed, quality, and budget.
• Embed regulatory and quality strategy early in product development.

• Shipped physical products at industrial mass scale with hardware and AI/software componentes.
• Experience at a deep-tech scaleup with global product reach and scale.
• Engineering background with leadership across Product Management, Technical Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Product Quality.
• Customer‑anchored approach with strong ability to translate customer needs into specifications.
• Extreme ownership and accountability for product outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
• Experience leading architecture shifts toward hardware platform products enabling scalable solutions.
• 15+ years of professional experience; 7+ years building organizations and shipping products.
• Strong communication of product strategy and tactics across the company.
