Senior Editor (m/f/d)

In this role you lead editorial strategy for Symrise’s corporate narrative, ensuring accurate, compliant and coherent disclosures across formats. You translate complex topics into accessible stories for priority stakeholders, acting as the editorial authority between regulatory needs and strategic messaging. You will define standards, guide cross-functional contributors, and continuously improve storytelling in line with the group’s storyline. This role combines strong writing with strategic oversight at a global headquarters or in Rennes, France.

• Own editorial leadership for major corporate communications projects
• Translate complex topics into stakeholder-oriented narratives aligned with corporate storylines
• Serve as primary interface with the business for disclosures, interpretation of requirements and key messages
• Define and uphold editorial standards, frameworks, templates, and style guidelines
• Coordinate internal contributors, providing clear direction and quality control
• Improve storytelling through stakeholder feedback and best practices

• 8–15 years’ experience in communications
• Outstanding writing and editing skills in English
• Strong strategic skills and understanding of products, storytelling, and business frameworks
• Proven ability to balance precision, judgment and storytelling on complex topics
• Credibility and confidence in senior, cross-functional environments
• Strong ability to work under pressure
• Fluent English and German; French is a strong plus
