Senior Electrical Engineer BESS

Do you want to own the electrical design of utility-scale battery storage from first feasibility to ready-to-build, and have a real say in the decisions that follow? This one is worth a look.

I’m working with a developer of solar and BESS projects. They’ve been active since 2008 and are growing their German business out of Hamburg. They need a Senior Electrical Engineer to take real technical ownership.

What you’ll do

• Lead the technical design of large-scale BESS projects, from feasibility through to ready-to-build.
• Own the MV/HV grid connection process with DSOs and TSOs, in line with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130.
• Review and approve SLDs, layouts and electrical BoP specifications.
• Help the management team make procurement and technology decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and set the technical standard.

What you’ll bring

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or a related field.
• 5+ years in renewables, with hands-on BESS or utility-scale PV experience.
• Strong knowledge of German grid codes and permitting.
• Fluent German and English.
