Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager - Data Centre

In this Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager role, you will lead electrical design for mid-to-large data centre projects, guiding MV/LV/ELV systems from concept to handover. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable electrical solutions and mentor junior staff. The position is anchored in Arup’s Frankfurt data centre practice, delivering energy-efficient infrastructure aligned with client goals. • Lead the design of MV, LV and ELV electrical systems from concept through construction handover
• Own preparation and review of design deliverables ensuring quality, coordination, and client alignment
• Collaborate with data centre clients and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated electrical solutions
• Present technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences, linking decisions to project goals and performance
• Mentor and support junior colleagues and contribute to a collaborative project environment

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or an equivalent discipline
• Extensive senior experience designing mission-critical electrical systems for industrial or complex technical facilities, ideally including data centres
• Strong knowledge of electrical design standards and delivery requirements, including relevant German codes and Revit MEP / 3D BIM workflows
• Proven ability to manage design deliverables, budgets, and priorities with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English and ideally German
