Job Description
As a Senior Electrical Project Manager (f/m/d), you take full operational responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical infrastructure in demanding data center projects. You ensure that electrical systems are reliable, energy‑efficient, and redundant, while fully complying with all safety‑related and regulatory requirements. In this role, you combine technical expertise with pragmatic project management: leading teams, managing interfaces with other disciplines, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage the planning and design of electrical systems in data centers, ensuring efficiency, redundancy, and the highest safety standards.
- Lead, motivate, and technically guide a team of engineers and technicians to develop innovative solutions for electrical infrastructure.
- Develop, review, and approve electrical designs for data centers and other critical facilities, incorporating energy‑efficient technologies and current industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical/MEP engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated, holistic design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, technical regulations, and safety requirements (e.g., VDE, IEC, NFPA 70E, DIN EN50600).
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and monitor costs, schedules, and quality; provide regular reports to management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate planning and implementation within multidisciplinary teams and liaise with external service providers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Support the construction phase by overseeing tests, commissioning (FAT/SAT), inspections, and handover to the operator.
- Identify risks, initiate countermeasures, and contribute to value engineering measures to optimize cost and performance.
Qualifications & Experience

You are technically skilled, have relevant experience in managing building and infrastructure projects, and bring with you:
- Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the planning and leadership of electrical systems, ideally with a focus on data centers or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Solid knowledge of energy‑efficient electrical systems and current industry trends.
- In-depth understanding of relevant laws, standards, and safety regulations (notably VDE, IEC, and fire protection).
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN) and other planning tools.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in guiding and developing technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engage with internal and external partners.
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis.
